How to Draw A Pancake. Some say that breakfast is the essential meal of the day, and whether that’s correct or not, there are many great breakfast foods to enjoy.
Also, check our cat coloring sheet.
One of the best breakfast dishes you can enjoy is delicious pancakes. They require a little more effort than a cereal bowl but are worth it for a great and tasty start to the day.
They can also be enjoyed at any time of the day and can even be enjoyed in picture form if you learn to draw a pancake!
How to Draw A Pancake
Step 1
In this tutorial on how to draw a pancake, we will draw a nice stack of pancakes. To do this, we first draw the outlines of the first pancakes on the stack.
First, draw a curved line for the top of the first pancake. Then you can extend other small curved lines going down the sides of the first pancake.
We’ll leave the pancakes for now, and next, we’ll draw another rounded line around the base to create the plate on which the pancakes will sit.
Step 2
In this second phase of drawing your pancake, we’ll add more pancakes to the stack and draw more details for the dish.
For the pancakes, draw more curved lines under the other flapjacks. As you can see in the connection image, there are two empty spaces on either side of the stack of pancakes.
This is because some syrup will drip onto the pancakes in a later step.
Once you’ve drawn those extra pancake outlines, you can finish by drawing another rounded line for the rim of the plate.
Step 3
We noted in the earlier step of our how-to draw-a-pancake guide that some syrup will run down the sides of the flapjacks.
You can sketch a rounded stripe for the top of the puddle of syrup that will be on top of the first pancake in the stack.
Next, use some curving lines to indicate it’s flowing down the sides where you left the empty spaces in the stack in the previous step.
This syrup pool may need to be detailed, but we’ll add more over the next few steps.
Step 4
In this fourth element of your flapjack drawing, you can add more details to the stack of pancakes.
This should be a fairly easy step, as you must draw curved lines on top of the pancake stack.
These lines run down the center of the pancakes at the top of the stack and between the traces of syrup falling onto the stack.
Once you have those details set, you can move on to some final details in the next step of the guide.
Step 5
You will finish the last details of the picture in this step of our how to draw a pancake guide. These details mainly focus on the puddle of syrup at the top.

You can start by drawing a 3D rectangle shape on top of the pike for the butter stick. Then draw some curved line details across the puddle of syrup to give it more shape.
Once you’ve drawn those details, you can colorize your image for the final step! But before we get to that, you should add some details to finish it.
Pancakes are often part of breakfast, so you could add other breakfast foods or drinks that you would like to enjoy with these pancakes.
Step 6
This is the last step of your pancake drawing, and we will finish by adding some amazing colors to the picture.

Our reference image kept the colors a bit more muted, mainly using some tan and beige colors.
You can use similar colors for the pancakes and syrup and then use some yellow for the butter. You could even use other colors and shades that you prefer.
Once you’ve chosen your colors, you can decide on the tools and artistic mediums to finish it.
