Most Dangerous Rides of Amusement Parks

Amusement parks are at the top of their game, every year they get bigger and more exciting, with bolder designs and newer, faster rides. But however thrilling it may seem to plunge down the side of a big dipper or loop around at breakneck speed, thrill-seeking can be dangerous; there have been many serious accidents in amusement parks over the years, some fatal. Take this quiz to find out which ride you’re most likely to die on.
The Drop Tower
This ride is also known as the Tower Drop or simply Drop Tower. It is a tall structure that has a platform on top where riders stand while waiting to be let down by an electric motor or hydraulic system. When the platform reaches its highest point, it drops down suddenly with an acceleration rate of 6g (6 times gravity). Riders are usually harnessed in so that they do not fall out of the platform during its drop motion. This ride is considered one of the most dangerous rides due to its steep drop angle and high acceleration rate.
The Loop-De-Loop Roller Coaster

This type of roller coaster has been around since 1884 when LaMarcus Thompson built his first one in Chicago’s World Columbian Exposition using wooden cars suspended on tracks by chains (American Coaster Enthusiasts). Today these coasters are made out of steel frames and have cars that are either suspended by steel cables or sit on a track. They are also called “swinging coasters” because they rock back and forth during their rides (hence the name).
Roller Coasters

Roller coasters are one of the most popular rides in any amusement park. They offer thrills and excitement for riders while also providing an exciting ride for onlookers. The danger comes when riders don’t follow safety rules and regulations set by the amusement park or ride operator. For example, if you’re riding a roller coaster and you’re told not to stand up during the ride, then you should follow those instructions, or else you may fall out of your seat or be injured by another rider who doesn’t follow these same rules. Roller Coasters are Small to large size depending on the amusement park. There are many tallest roller coasters in the world and they are very popular among people. Roller coasters are also a great way to get people out of their houses and into an amusement park or travel around the world. Some of the best roller coasters in the world are located in America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and many other countries around the world.
Ferris Wheels

Ferris wheels are another popular amusement park ride that can cause serious injury if riders aren’t careful about following all safety rules and regulations set forth by the amusement park or ride operator. Ferris wheels are often located in the center of an amusement park and are sometimes surrounded by other rides that may cause distractions. This can lead to riders not paying attention to their surroundings and forgetting about safety precautions. For example, if you’re on a Ferris wheel that is being operated manually by an attendant who stands at the base of the ride, then you should make sure they know where everyone is located before they begin operating it.
The Tower of Terror – Walt Disney World

The Tower of Terror is a free-fall drop-ride attraction in 3 Disney parks worldwide: California Adventure Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, and Magic Kingdom. Riders enter a haunted hotel where guests can hear an old bellhop named Gus welcoming them to the hotel and describing its history. The bellhop then warns riders not to be scared as he switches off the lights. He pushes a button that activates an elevator and sends it up an unseen shaft before dropping abruptly down at a speed of 17 mph (27 km/h). Riders experience 3 seconds of free fall before being brought back up to the top again.
Superman Ride

The Superman Ride is one of the most popular rides in Six Flags New England. It features a spinning drop that gives riders the sensation that they are falling while they are suspended above the ground. This ride has been criticized due to its high risk of injury or even death. In addition, it has been known to cause severe injuries such as broken bones, paralysis, and even death due to its extreme height and speed.
Sky Drop Tower
Sky Drop Tower is another famous attraction at Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park in New Jersey. This ride is similar to Superman Ride except that it’s more dangerous because it goes higher than Superman Ride does – up to 400 feet! The Sky Drop Tower was closed down for several years due to safety concerns after two accidents occurred on this ride in 2007 and 2009 that resulted in injuries and even death for some riders who were riding this ride at the time when their harnesses failed them. When it reopened again in 2011, the ride had new harnesses that were designed to prevent accidents from happening again. The Sky Drop Tower is a unique attraction that allows riders to experience what it’s like to fall from 400 feet in the air while sitting in a seat that rotates and moves around as you go up and down.
